TL;DR
VENTURE STEP IS BACK! AFTER A TWO-YEAR BREAK, I'M RELAUNCHING THE PODCAST WITH RENEWED ENERGY, DEEPER INSIGHTS, AND A BROADER MISSION TO DOCUMENT THE ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY IN REAL TIME.
INTRODUCTION
Sometimes, an idea just won't let go. For me, that idea was Venture Step. What started as a brief exploration into podcasting has stayed in the back of my mind for two years. Despite life's twists and turns, the urge to return never disappeared. Today, I'm excited to announce: Venture Step is officially back. In this relaunch article, I'll share where I've been, why I stepped away, what I've learned, and where we're headed next. Whether you're starting something new or figuring out your next move, I hope my journey makes you feel a little less alone and a little more inspired.
WHY I PAUSED THE PODCAST
- Pursuing Higher Education
- During my time away from the podcast, I was admitted into USF's Master's in Science and Business Analytics program. This intensive course focused on data science, analytics, and computer programming, providing valuable skills I'm excited to bring back to the podcast.
- Exploring Cutting-Edge Technologies
- One of the most fascinating aspects of my studies was delving into AI and natural language processing (NLP). We experimented with generative AI and explored its potential impact on the workplace. It was particularly exciting to see these technologies evolve from academic concepts to real-world applications, like the emergence of ChatGPT 3.
- Personal Projects: Remodeling My Nana's Home
- Alongside my professional and academic pursuits, I took on a significant personal project: remodeling my nana's home. This endeavor, which included extensive renovations from the kitchen to the bathrooms, taught me valuable lessons about project management, perseverance, and the importance of creating comfortable living spaces for our loved ones.

WHAT I LEARNED
- Consistency is Key
- Moving forward, I'm committed to uploading episodes at least twice a month, each at least 10 minutes long. I aim to produce weekly content, balancing regularity with consistently finding valuable topics to discuss.
- Diverse Content
- While entrepreneurship remains a core focus, I plan to expand the podcast's scope. Future episodes will cover a range of issues, including:
- Product research and development
- Programming insights and tech trends
- General business-related subjects
- Personal experiences and lessons learned.

- Documenting the Entrepreneurial Journey
- One of the most exciting aspects of the revamped Venture Step is my commitment to documenting my entrepreneurial journey in real-time. I plan to share my experiences, including the challenges and setbacks, as I work on new business ideas and potentially revive past ventures like our fishing magnets product.

- As the podcast grows and establishes consistency, I look forward to inviting guests to share their entrepreneurial stories and insights.

LOOKING BACK TO MOVE FORWARD
Our earlier Amazon business taught me hard lessons: inventory delays, ad cost spikes, brutal competition. Those mistakes are now stories worth sharing. Every scar is a signal.
CONCLUSION
The entrepreneurial path is a roller coaster. And that's precisely what Venture Step aims to capture the ups, the downs, and the wisdom in between.
If you're building something, dreaming about it, or just curious how others do it, I hope you'll come along for the ride. Let's make Venture Step more than a podcast. Let’s make it a shared journey of learning, building, and growing.
Thanks for sticking with me. The best is yet to come.
